1. Hire period is one week (7 days), from the invoice date. The Invoice Date and the Return-By Date are also specified in the agreement.
The Hire Fee & the Security Deposit must be paid in full before the costume(s) are supplied.

2. A late fee of $10 per day per costume will be applied after the Return-By Date.

3. The hirer agrees to return all costumes and accessories in the condition they are hired out .

4. The hirer understands that MINOR alterations to seams and lengths are permitted but these must be removed before their return. All name tags must be removed.

5. The hirer agrees to NOT CUT OR ADD TO THE COSTUMES IN ANY MANNER (e.g. no sewing or gluing of sequins; no cutting the length, or the straps).

6. All hired costumes and accessories remain the property of ‘Dural Dance and Costume Centre’.

7. Any costumes/accessories lost or damaged (including any failure to comply with 3, 4, and 5 above), must be paid for by the hirer at the current replacement cost. In some cases this will mean the retail price.

8. The hirer understands that they MUST NOT WASH/DRYCLEAN/IMMERSE IN WATER the costumes/accessories before returning them, as some fabrics, sequins, feathers are not washer friendly and we prefer to hand wash/dry clean them ourselves. Please leave all accidental stains. A nominal fee may be applied after inspection.
A Cleaning Fee of 5% of the Total Price will be included on the invoice.

9. A current residential address must be provided with at least 2 contact phone numbers to be eligible to hire costumes.

10. Deposit: A security deposit of 50% of the total order is required at the time of hiring. The deposit will be forfeited if the items are lost or damaged in any way. Upon return and inspection, the deposit will be refunded if there has been total compliance.

11. Discounts: A 5% discount applies for 5 or more costumes hired out in one order. A 10% discount applies for 10 or more costumes hired out in one order.

12. Dural Dance & Costumes Centre reserves the right to refuse hire without explanation.

13. Dural Dance and Costume Centre shall not be responsible or liable to the hirer, either contractually or tortiously for any loss, damage or detriment suffered or sustained directly or consequently by the hirer, whether it arises from defects, malfunctions, breakdown, failure or performance of the hired costumes/accessories or otherwise. The hirer must satisfy themselves of the suitability, safety and durability of the costumes for the purposes they intend at the time of hiring.
